RADIO Bahrain DJ Krazy Kevin came a step closer to losing his hair after a surprise donation of BD1,000 in return for shaving his head.
That doubled his original target of BD500, which he hoped to raise for victims of the tsunami disaster, and takes the total amount to BD1,600 so far.
The mon-ey was presented to Krazy Kevin by Ahmed Janahi, managing director of Ahmed Abubaker Janahi Holdings Limited, during the company's annual staff party at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa.
It came as a complete surprise for the breakfast show DJ, who was hired to perform at the event.
"The donation is extremely generous and a total surprise to me," Krazy Kevin told the GDN.
Krazy Kevin, whose full name is Kevin Howarth, has invited others to follow his example and raise money for tsunami victims by shaving their heads.
However, adults wishing to join in must raise a minimum sponsorship of BD500 by February 15.
Children under 18 can also take part if they manage to raise a minimum of BD100.
The head shaving will not take place until next month, but the exact date and venue are yet to be announced.
