THE Crown Prince and Chairman of the Economic Development Board arrived in Geneva last evening to be the guest of honour at the International Labour Organisation's (ILO) 96th session on Friday. He will deliver a speech at the conference.
He will also open the Bahrain Day in the Swiss capital today. It aims to highlight achievements in the fields of freedom for trade unions, unemployment insurance and labour market regulation.
He was received by Arab Labour Office director Ahmed Luqman, Beirut-based International Labour Office regional director Nada Al Nashif, ILO protocols director Terry Powell, Labour Minister Majeed Al Alawi and Bahrain's Ambassador and permanent representative in Geneva Dr Abdulla Abdullatif.
GCC labour ministers, meanwhile, agreed to draft a unified labour law to serve as a broad guideline for member countries at a co-ordination meeting held by them on the sidelines of the conference.
