MANAMA: The works of one of Bahrain's most renowned poets is being celebrated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco). An exhibition, opening today at Unesco's headquarters in Paris, will mark 100 years since the birth of Ibrahim Al Arrayed, who died at 94 in May 2002.
It will feature his photographs, poetry, personal correspondence and artwork.
The exhibition, which will remain open until June 27, is sponsored by Khaleeji Commercial Bank.
The opening ceremony will be attended by an Information Ministry delegation, Akhbar Al Khaleej editorial director Abdulmonem Ibrahim and other senior members from Bahrain's Press.
