MANAMA: Bahrain National Insurance (bni) will play a major role in the Bahrain's insurance industry.
Bahrain National Holding Company (BNH) celebrated the 40th anniversary of its wholly owned subsidiary bni at the Gulf Hotel.
The celebratory dinner reception embodied BNH's passion for the kingdom's culture and heritage and it portrayed its pride in being a Bahraini company, by adopting an Old Bahrain theme.
The evening reception also featured an artwork exhibition.
"Given our long-term strategic and focused business plans, the role of bni in our community will become even more important in driving growth, innovation, and productivity in the insurance industry," said BNH Group chairman Farouk Almoayyed.
"As a result, in 2009, the group's total investments in Bahrain was BD36.1 million ($95.7m). In addition, the group's allocated budget to train its young human capital, which is 85 per cent Bahraini nationals, was BD100,000.
"Looking ahead, bni is positioned to lead the insurance market," he added.
