MANAMA: Attendance at Bahrain's primary schools yesterday topped 81 per cent, signalling a return to normal.
The Education Ministry also reported an average rate of attendance of 79pc and 55pc respectively at the intermediate and secondary schools.
The rate of secondary students at both Muharraq and the Southern Governorates was also described as normal.
Stability reigned at most public schools in the light of the efforts by the ministry to ensure a secure educational environment.
The ministry issued a statement crediting the administrative and teaching staff, as well as parents for their co-operation and keenness to ensure normal school life.
The ministry extended thanks and appreciation to all parties who contribute to the gradual normalisation of school life, in the aftermath of the recent unrest which gripped Bahrain.
