Preparations in full swing

FRENCH Event Industry 'Seiten Event' has stepped up its preparations for the opening ceremony of the 21st Gulf Cup football tournament, to be held in Bahrain in January next year.

Seiten Event will be in charge of the opening ceremony on January 5 and the closing ceremony on January 18 at the Bahrain National Stadium in Riffa.

The company also organised the ceremony of this prestigious tournament with success welcoming 100 VIP guests and broadcast live to 17 channels throughout the Gulf region.

Founded in 2008 by Audrey Roatta with the mission to deliver expert event services of an international standard to the Gulf region, Seiten Event will bring along their equipment to be used at the opening and closing ceremonies.

Executive Secretary of the Organising Committee Maryam Yousef said the committee is co-ordinating with Seiten Event to provide all means of support to the company, in line with the directives of tournament director Ahmed Al Nuaimi.

"Seiten Event has a team of experienced professionals, who are following through with their commitment and exceeding the expectations of their ever-growing list of corporate clients," said Yousef.

She said that the working team will be making several field visits to the National Stadium to determine the details related to the programme of the opening ceremony.

"We had intensified our co-ordination and communication with them in the past few weeks to arrange the essential equipment. We are now working on preparing permissions from the customs to get those equipment from Dubai and Jeddah."

The company is now progressing even further by reinforcing its presence in the Middle East and bringing expert talent into the Kingdom to produce events that often exceed their international counterparts.

"Our professional team consists of known industry leaders, whose goal is to fuse their technical expertise with the demands of the local market," said Roatta, who is also project manager.

Meanwhile, the Media Committee has received more than 100 accreditation requests from local and overseas media representatives to issue media passes for the tournament.

These passes will be processed in co-operation with the Public Relations Committee and other working committees in order to step up the preparations and complete all paperwork related to this matter.

Media officials wishing to cover the event should submit their details to [email protected] by November 29, which is the deadline for accepting accreditation requests.
