Crown Prince praises Japanese expertise

KYOTO: Bahrain yesterday stressed its resolve to benefit from the Japanese expertise in boosting development and promoting democracy.

"Japan and Bahrain have in common the ability to brave challenges, cope with changes, develop and renew constantly," His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, said.

He was speaking as he attended a dinner banquet hosted in his honour by Kyoto Governor at the Guest House, marking his official visit to Japan.

The Crown Prince stressed Bahrain's commitment to addressing challenges and promoting human rights - all for the sake of citizens' well-being.

He recalled His Majesty King Hamad's historic visit last year to Japan at the invitation of Emperor Akihito.

"I am building on the positive results of His Majesty's landmark visit in bolstering trade, economic and diplomatic relations," he said.
