Bank draw joy for two women

Two Bahraini women won cash prizes as part of BMI Bank's monthly Ayadi draw. Bushra Ahmed and Samar Al Abayooki received $10,000 each from bank assistant general manager and retail banking head Mazen Sater during a ceremony held at its headquarters in Manama.

Customers who have an Ayadi account were automatically entered into the draw. The bank also held a draw for its Ayadi Savings Scheme, where students Rawan Al Saad and Saima Al Meer received $5,000 each. Fifty other students, also won $1,000 each. Customers who have an account with the Ayadi Savings Scheme were automatically entered into the draw.

New Audi promotion

A RAMADAN promotion has been launched by the Audi Centre in Bahrain. Customers will benefit from an exclusive financing deal of zero per cent interest on selected models bought before August 15. The offer includes an extended five-year unlimited kilometre warranty in addition to Audi's five-year service package and five-year roadside assistance.

"Our focus for 2013 is on capacity and quality in sales and after sales service," said Audi Centre principal dealer Geetan Jessen.

Two-wheeler thieves jailed

A GANG of five men who ambushed bikers and stole their two-wheelers to sell have been jailed. The Bahrainis, aged between 18 and 25, were convicted of arson, theft and assault by the High Criminal Court. Three of the defendants were jailed for three years each, while two others were jailed for two years each.

According to court documents, the gang ambushed bikers in Budaiya, attacked them and stole the motorbikes to sell.

In one of the incidents, an Indian victim fled from his attackers on foot after they pushed him off his bike.
