YOUNG Bahraini innovators are being encouraged to take part in an international e-contest.
The World Summit Youth Award (WSYA) is being organised by the World Summit Award and held in all UN member states.
The Bahrain Internet Society (BIS) has urged Bahrainis, under the
age of 30, to register before today.
Participants can develop anything related to technology in six categories; fight poverty, hunger and disease, education for all, power to women, go green, and pursue truth.
An international young jury will select the top three winners in each category by the end of August.
They will be recognised during a ceremony held in Colombo, Sri Lanka between October 24 and 26.
The WSYA is being held as a follow-up to the World Summit on Information Society in the form of an action plan towards the year 2015.
